SMOKE & MIRRORS MENAGERIE strives to create a space for performers of all varieties and experience levels to showcase their art. From jugglers to stringed quartets, aerialists to strip artists, we strongly believe that variety is the spice of life and seek artists of all kinds.
There are several ways to join us:
JOIN THE CAST
WE ARE CURRENTLY CASTING FOR OUR 2024 SEASON. While some of our casting is currently done through invitation or reserved for standing troupe members, we also reserve several spaces in every show for applying performers. We are always interested in incorporating new artistry, acts and disciplines of all kinds into our show. DEBUTING/NEW PERFORMERS & MARGINALIZED IDENTITIES ARE ESPECIALLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY.
In addition to our monthly variety shows, Smoke & Mirrors Menagerie is also seeking cast members for it’s feature-length ensemble shows, GARDEN OF UNEARTHLY DELIGHTS and DEATH AT THE CIRCUS. Perhaps you’re a bit camera shy but want to contribute from behind the veil? Smoke & Mirrors Menagerie always has need of individuals with talents such as:
General show organization and management (stage managers, stage kittens, sound and lighting operators)
Photography and videography
Promotion (social media, flyering)
Prop design and construction
